Thank you for sharing. I would start by dropping my phone at home while going to class next week, my attention span during lectures is ridiculously short and I would let you know if I did it successfully🫠. Keep me accountable, this will be hard because that means I would not be with my headphones but but I will try. Even if it's for a day, I will try and see if I will faint or survive

I’m glad you’re inspired to change for the better. Trust me, I know how difficult it is going out without the music, but if you’re already so hooked on it, taking a break or easing it out of your daily habits will be very helpful to your brain.

It’ll be hard at first, but you’ll adjust faster than you think.

I’ll try my best to keep you accountable also 😂

This is really good. Sometimes I try to remind myself that I actually exist in a real world, not a virtual one. And when I pick up a book to read in a quiet place, without my phone, my mind becomes the distraction 😹. I literally start imagining different fictional stories and scenarios and getting all these unnecessary ideas (that are usually really cool btw) but they hinder me from continuing the book. It's like, since my brain can't get the dopamine (or dope 🥲), it might as well create some by itself. And it gets very frustrating at times, so I take a short walk to clear it all out.

Sometime ago, when I wanted to read, I would put off my phone.

And then, while reading, I might get tempted to put it on, I might even pick it up but then the stress to put it on and allow it to boot would be stressful so I'll drop it back....why? The stress. That's why.

Why there might not be a perfect way to solve some problems, take the little steps, the very little steps matter!
