The story post is so real because it’s usually the men with the questionable personalities that post ‘real men yen yen yen🙄’.

Also, love this Kendrick albulm💪

gender is parts biology & sociology. we can fault the merciless standards that masculinity places on men but what can we do about it?

men holding back emotionally comes from women's ill attitudes towards vulnerability. women mostly view emotional men as weak or turn to use vulnerable moments against men during disagreements. that's what has taught men to hold back.

plus, men are hardwired fixers and most times, our feelings do not matter. we have the thankless job of getting things done & fixing sh*t & that's all that matters.

i wrote a piece less than a month ago about how i felt: how i wanted to hold a female & cry. venting it on paper helped me. hated posting it but my mom texted to say a lot of encouraging stuff. about how i should live, & be myself & live.

i love your fanhood of lamar. i am a lamar "worshipper" & he's one of the most authentic, one of the truest artists of our generation. hope to be more like him.

Nothing we can do that not allow ourselves to be defined or limited by the standards.

This was a good read, especially coming from a man.

I don't want a real man. I want one that can cry, clean, cook, and wash. 😁😁

Immediately I saw what the sarcasm in the title, I knew what it was all about. Real post from a real man if you ask me. "They depised Ebun, they didn't like that he spoke the truth"

As a female, from my perspective,

How would you want a man that doesn't cry or show emotions?, that's how you know a fake man because are you not human?

Oh, brilliant write up. I saw the note you posted yesterday and at first I was taken aback by the title, but I believed you'd blow my mind away, which you did.

It's truly funny how society has moulded a destructive image of what "a man" should be and it's deeply saddening how some people still conform to this image.

I think you'll love a friend's take on masculinity and it's evolution...

I’ll definitely check it out.

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. And for not judging the book by its cover😂

Yeah it’s sad how many young men are chasing shadows in the hope of being “man enough.”
